What is AgilePM?

Since its introduction in 2010, AgilePM has fast established itself as the world’s leading framework and certification for Agile project management, with over 150,000 certifications achieved by forward thinking professionals worldwide.

The AgilePM Handbook

AgilePM training and certification is based on the AgilePM Handbook, published by the Agile Business consortium. The handbook offers a practical and repeatable methodology that achieves an ideal balance between the standards, rigour, and visibility required for great project management, and the fast-pace, change and empowerment provided by Agile.

This Practitioner course provides leaners with the skills required to apply a variety of Agile practices to a project, for example, workshops, the MoSCoW technique to define project priorities, and iterative development and modelling.

AgilePM has two separate tiers, Foundation and Practitioner. The AgilePM Foundation training will guide you through the underpinning philosophy and principles enabling you to apply them to real-world project situations. Practitioner is more advanced and goes deeper into the AgilePM philosophy to really enhance the knowledge and understanding of Agile Project Managers.

The combined Foundation and Practitioner courses enable experienced Project Managers to adopt a mature, scalable corporate strength Agile approach within their organisations.

Suitable For:

This course will suit anyone involved in Project Management who already holds the AgilePM Foundation certification and is looking to learn more about Agile Project Management and further their career.

Learning Outcomes:

This course will enable participants to understand:

  • How to apply a variety of agile practices to a project, for example, workshops, the MoSCoW technique to define project priorities, iterative development and modelling.
  • How to test, estimate and evaluate profit delivery in an Agile project.
  • Facilitation and support mechanisms within an Agile project.
  • The agile approach to manage and prioritize requirements.

What to Expect:

All KnowledgeAdd courses are currently run virtually via an online learning platform.

Learners can expect to be part of a safe and relaxed environment when attending our courses. We encourage learners to share their webcams with the group, as this creates a more open and engaging learning experience for many. However, we appreciate that not everyone is comfortable with this, and that is absolutely fine!

During the course, your trainer will guide you through the relevant content and ensure that everything you need to know in order to pass the exam is covered.

Following completion of the course, you will be issued with an exam voucher which can be redeemed anytime with APMG International online, within 12 months.

Exam:

  • Objective examination. 4 questions (20 points per question).
  • 40/80 points required to pass the exam (50%).
  • Duration 2.5 hours.
  • Open book (only the official AgilePM manual is allowed).
  • Exam results will only be released to learners who already hold the AgilePM Foundation certification.

What is Included:

Along with 2 days of instructor-led training, all learners will also benefit from:

  • An exam voucher to take the AgilePM Practitioner exam online with APMG International anytime within 12 months
  • Up to an hour of one-to-one time with your trainer within 90 days of the course end date
  • The AgilePM Handbook in eBook form
